The UAE has become a global hub for winter tourism, driven by its vibrant festival scene.

This season, the country has hosted an array of enriching events that have drawn significant numbers of local and international visitors, reinforcing its status as a premier destination for culture, entertainment, and heritage.

Sheikh Zayed Festival 2024-2025One of the largest cultural and heritage events, the Sheikh Zayed Festival, runs until February 28, 2025. The festival boasts over 6,000 cultural activities, 1,000 large-scale public shows, and more than 30,000 exhibitors. With participants from 27 countries, the event highlights global traditions through pavilions, performances, and competitions, such as falconry, dhow sailing, and camel racing.

Mother of the Nation (MOTN) FestivalThe 8th edition of the MOTN Festival in Abu Dhabi concluded on December 31, 2024, after attracting 259,000 visitors. Spanning Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra, and Al Ain, it offered over 350 unique experiences for all age groups, blending entertainment, education, and cultural diversity.

Liwa International Festival 2025Held over 23 days, the Liwa International Festival in Al Dhafra delivered a mix of traditional sports, motor challenges, and desert activities, alongside live music and fireworks. It cemented its reputation as a hotspot for adventure and heritage enthusiasts.

Hatta Winter InitiativeConcluding on January 12, 2025, the Hatta Winter Initiative featured 120 workshops, 14 events, and four community initiatives, including the Hatta Cultural Nights and Honey Festival. This initiative provided a unique blend of local traditions and innovation.

Global VillageThe 29th season of Global Village continues to captivate visitors until May 11, 2025, with over 40,000 shows, 200+ attractions, and 30 pavilions representing 90 cultures. This year introduces pavilions for Jordan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, enhancing its international appeal.

Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF)The 30th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival, running until January 14, 2025, has been a shopper’s paradise. With exclusive deals, prize draws, fireworks, and concerts by international stars, it continues to attract global attention.

Khorfakkan Marine FestivalCelebrating maritime heritage, the second Khorfakkan Marine Festival drew 70,420 visitors. It offered cultural and entertainment activities, workshops, and exhibitions, reflecting the UAE’s seafaring traditions.
