New Direct Air Service from Los Angeles to Casablanca by Royal Air Maroc

Royal Air Maroc will launch their first direct flights from Los Angeles to Casablanca starting June 7th, 2026. This flight will be the first direct flight from Africa to the United States’ Pacific Coast. The flights are in high demand due to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and to counter the rising need in intercontinental flights, Royal Air Maroc will be providing 3 flights a week.

The new flights will be operated three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The schedule for the flights is as follows:

These direct flights will take approximately 11 hours, offering travelers a faster and more convenient option for traveling between the U.S. and Morocco.

Royal Air Maroc will operate this new route using the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, known for its advanced technology and passenger comfort. The Dreamliner ensures a smooth and relaxing flight experience, offering features such as personalized entertainment options and spacious seating. Passengers can expect a high-quality service that reflects the airline’s commitment to enhancing the long-haul travel experience.

This new route from Los Angeles aligns with Royal Air Maroc’s broader efforts to expand its international network. It adds to the airline’s increasing presence in North America, where it already serves major cities such as New York, Washington, D.C., Miami, Montreal, and Toronto. The introduction of nonstop flights to Los Angeles enhances the airline’s portfolio, connecting travelers from the U.S. West Coast to Africa with greater ease.

The new service is tailored to cater to a wide range of travelers, from business professionals and tourists to soccer fans heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Morocco’s proximity to Europe and Africa makes it an ideal hub for passengers traveling between continents. The new flight will provide more direct access for travelers heading from Morocco and Africa to the U.S., and vice versa.

Additionally, the route strengthens Casablanca’s position as a major international transit hub. The launch of this new service demonstrates Royal Air Maroc’s continued efforts to enhance its connectivity and offer more options for travelers looking to explore the U.S., Europe, and Africa.

Royal Air Maroc’s new route also plays a vital role in supporting the country’s increasing global engagement. As the airline expands its fleet and network, it solidifies Morocco’s position as a strategic player in international travel. The expansion also positions the airline to contribute to the global tourism market, helping to raise Morocco’s profile in key regions.

The new service comes ahead of the highly anticipated FIFA World Cup in 2026, which will be jointly hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. This direct link between Los Angeles and Casablanca is expected to be popular with soccer fans traveling to the event, particularly those from Morocco, Africa, and Europe, all of whom can use this new route to attend the global celebration.

This new route marks just one step in Royal Air Maroc’s ambitious growth plans. The airline is already a major player in African aviation and is working on expanding its long-haul network. The new Los Angeles service further complements other major routes, such as those to São Paulo, Miami, and Dubai. This is in line with Royal Air Maroc’s strategic goals to increase international service, expand its fleet, and connect Morocco to major global economic and cultural hubs.

For those planning to travel on the new LAX-CMN route, here are some helpful tips:

Royal Air Maroc’s new nonstop flights to Los Angeles are just the beginning. The airline has outlined an ambitious 2023–2037 growth plan to expand its fleet, increase passenger traffic, and enhance its role as a global carrier. By adding more long-haul routes and improving service, the airline aims to quadruple its fleet size and serve 32 million passengers annually by 2037.

In addition to the growing network, Royal Air Maroc’s membership in the oneworld alliance provides travelers with access to a global network of over 520 million passengers and 900 destinations across 170 countries. This further extends Morocco’s influence on the world stage and opens up more options for travelers.

Royal Air Maroc’s direct flights from Los Angeles to Casablanca will change air travel to/from Casablanca and the U.S. West Coast. The new route will serve the increasing need for direct flights to/from the Commerce and U.S. West Coast. The airline will continue to add flights to different parts of the global travel system. Traveling worldwide will continue to improve with the growing network of Royal Air Maroc.
