Entries are open for the 2026 Australian Interior Design Awards, which recognise excellence in interior design projects across Australia and internationally. The program celebrates outstanding design in both residential and commercial interiors, highlighting creativity, innovation and high‑quality outcomes.
The awards accept entries across a range of categories - including Retail Design, Hospitality Design, Workplace Design, Public Design, Installation Design, Residential Design and Residential Decoration - as well as optional categories for Emerging Interior Design Practice and Sustainability Advancement, and automatic categories such as Best of State and the Premier Award for Australian Interior Design.
The 2026 awards are open to interior designers, design professionals and practices based in Australia, and projects may be located anywhere in the world. Eligible projects must have been completed in the relevant qualifying period and not been previously entered in this program.
The 2026 jury comprises Mardi Doherty, founder and principal of Studio Doherty; Iva Foschia, director of IF Architecture; Paul Foskett, principal and head of interior design APAC at Populous; Alessandra French, co-founder of State of Kin; Tim Greer, director of Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects; Brahman Perera, director of Brahman Perera; Eva Marie Prineas, principal of Studio Prineas; and Kirsti Simpson, studio chair and global workplace interior design leader at Woods Bagot. Geraldine Maher will serve as jury convenor and Katherine Featherston will serve as sustainability advisor.
The Australian Interior Design Awards are co‑presented by the Design Institute of Australia and InteriorsAu and supported by industry partners including Dulux, Space, Bowermans, Sub‑Zero and Wolf, Laminex, Elton Group, Roca, Nightworks and GH Commercial.
