EgyptAir Partners with Dar al-Ifta, Now Enhances Travel Services For Hajj And More Religious And Cultural Events

In a significant move to bolster travel services for religious and cultural events, EgyptAir, through its tourism arm Karnak, has partnered with Dar al-Ifta, the official Islamic advisory body in Egypt. The two institutions have signed a cooperation protocol aimed at providing comprehensive travel and tourism services to facilitate the participation of Dar al-Ifta in various activities and events. This collaboration underscores EgyptAir’s commitment to supporting national institutions and enhancing the travel experience for attendees of religious and cultural gatherings.

The agreement between EgyptAir and Dar al-Ifta encompasses a wide range of services designed to streamline travel logistics for participants and attendees of Dar al-Ifta’s events. These services include:

These services aim to provide a seamless and efficient travel experience, ensuring that participants can focus on the spiritual and cultural aspects of their engagements.

During the signing ceremony, Nazir Ayyad, the Grand Mufti of Egypt and Secretary-General of the World Federation of Fatwa Authorities and Institutions, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership. He presented the importance of collaborating with Egypt’s national airline, EgyptAir, to enhance travel and tourism services both domestically and internationally. Ayyad also announced that EgyptAir would serve as the official carrier for Dar al-Ifta, reinforcing the institution’s role in facilitating religious and cultural exchanges.

Captain Mohamed Alian, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Airlines, emphasized that this partnership aligns with the vision of the Egyptian state and the directives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation. He noted that EgyptAir Holding Company plans to expand its reach and provide premier services to a wider range of institutions, agencies, and ministries, including Dar al-Ifta.

Ashraf Rateb, Head of the Tourism Sector (Karnak), detailed the services offered under the protocol. He expressed optimism for future successes and the expansion of service offerings, conveying appreciation for the warm reception and reiterating Karnak’s commitment to collaborating with Egyptian state institutions to enhance service quality and strengthen cooperation.

Counselor Osama al-Hindawi, Head of the Office of the Grand Mufti of the Republic, underscored that this joint cooperation would leverage the tourism sector’s expertise to provide comprehensive tourism services within and outside Egypt. He also solidified EgyptAir’s role as the official carrier for all entities covered by the protocol for both domestic and international events.

This partnership is particularly timely as Dar al-Ifta prepares for the upcoming tenth edition of the Scientific Conference on the Making of a Wise Mufti in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, scheduled for August 12th and 13th. The conference will host over 100 fatwa authorities from around the world, and the collaboration with EgyptAir is expected to facilitate the seamless participation of international delegates.

Looking ahead, this cooperation sets a precedent for future collaborations between national institutions and service providers, aiming to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of services for religious and cultural events. It also shows how important strategic partnerships are in supporting the logistical needs of large-scale gatherings, ensuring that participants can engage fully in the spiritual and scholarly aspects of the events.

Conclusion

The cooperation between EgyptAir and Dar al-Ifta can be regarded as a step forward in enhancing travel services for religious and cultural events. By leveraging EgyptAir’s extensive network and expertise in the tourism sector, this partnership aims to provide comprehensive and efficient services to participants and attendees. As Egypt continues to play a pivotal role in the Islamic world, collaborations like this not only facilitate the logistics of religious gatherings but also foster greater international cooperation and understanding.
